Proficiency and Certification Tests

CaMLA’s proficiency and certification tests are used for high-stakes testing purposes—such as college admissions, professional certification, and employment decisions.

  • ECCE
    to demonstrate high-intermediate (CEFR level B2) proficiency in English for education or professional purposes, typically outside the United States and Canada
  • ECPE
    to demonstrate advanced (CEFR level C2) proficiency in English for educational or professional purposes, typically outside the United States and Canada
  • MELAB
    to apply to colleges and universities where English is the medium of instruction
  • MET
    to document level of proficiency in English ranging from CEFR level A2 to C1 for educational or employment purposes, typically outside the United States and Canada
